Flyers finish with a flourish to sink Sharks
Bristol Flyers 82 (10, 33, 53) (Cosby 20, Ali 18, Boggs 15)
DBL Sharks Sheffield 69 (20, 38, 56) (Davis 19, Rembert 15, Tuck 10, Riley 10)
Bristol Flyers are into double digits for league wins this season after their tenth came courtesy of a powerful last period against DBL Sharks Sheffield as they took an 82-69 home court success.
A week after their thrilling buzzer-beating win against Lions, it had looked like another nail-biter was brewing at the WISE Arena.
However, triples in quick succession during the last period from Aaron Cosby, Brandon Boggs and Hameed Ali took the hosts clear as they finished the contest like they had started – in the ascendancy.
Ali was the top performer in the game as he amassed a near triple-double of 18 points, nine assists and seven rebounds.
The victory was also the Flyers’ biggest over their rivals since joining the BBL and their first by double-figures against Sharks, with the visitors now slipping to nine losses.
