It is with mixed emotions that the DBL Sharks announce the departure of forward Colin Sing.
Sing was all set to begin his 7th season at the Sheffield side when an unexpected opportunity arose for a teaching position in Dubai, an offer that Sing could not afford to refuse.
Following a discussion with General Manager Sarah Backovic it was agreed that such an opportunity could not be ignored and Sing has taken the decision to leave the club to assume his teaching role in the United Arab Emirates.
“I have had an amazing time in Sheffield, the club has been a great support through my career development on and off the floor and even through this decision. I want to thank everybody who has been there for me and given me the memories of playing basketball,” said Sing.
“We are sad to see Colin leave he has been a tremendous contributor to this club on and off the court. At the same time we support his decision it is an offer he should not refuse and we wish him every success on this great adventure,” said GM Backovic.
Sing leaves with immediate effect to prepare for his imminent departure to UAE.
The DBL Sharks will take part in the All-Stars Basketball Championship at the O2 in London on Sunday 24th Sept. 2017.
