Leeds Force 79-107 DBL Sharks Sheffield (20-23, 36-54, 52-81)
DBL Sharks Sheffield collected their second victory of the season over Leeds Force, defeating their local rivals 79-107 on the road.
As a result of the derby victory, the visitors remain in the hunt for a top three finish. The hosts, however, stay rooted in place at the foot of the table.

Turning point – A monster dunk by Dirk Williams, early in the second quarter, sparked the visitors into action. The side from Sheffield put together an 11-2 run on the back of the highlight play, opening up a double-digit lead.
Key stat – The Sharks shot incredibly from all areas of the court, hitting 61% of their shot attempts and 53% from beyond the three point line.
Game hero – Dirk Williams poured in an efficient 26 points for Sheffield, connecting on 10 of his 11 shots.

Cheshire Phoenix 77-82 DBL Sharks Sheffield (21-22, 39-42, 57-57)
DBL Sharks Sheffield are now in outright fourth spot in the BBL standings after following up last Friday’s win at Leeds Force with success at Cheshire.
In a game that was tight throughout, Sharks managed to make a telling run during the middle of the last quarter and hang on for victory in the closing seconds as Phoenix threatened a comeback.
Leading scorers – Gettys 18, May-Thompson 15, Sandoval 12, Riley 12, Touray 12 (Phoenix), Alexander 20, Wroblicky 14, Tuck 12 (Sharks)
Turning point – It was locked up at 65-65 with five minutes to go when Sharks posted six unanswered points that were part of a 9-2 run and that gave them the cushion needed in crunch time.
Key stat – The 25 bench points for Sharks was a big number in comparison to just 8 for Phoenix.
Game hero(es) – Chris Alexander continued his rich vein of form with 20 points, while Tony Wroblicky shot 7 of 9 and frontcourt partner Mike Tuck had a solid double-double of 12 points and 10 boards. Meanwhile Zach Gachette was a perfect 3 of 3 from long-range and that was important too.
